Hello October – New Release Giveaway

HELLO OCTOBER!

It’s a Best Reads blog tradition! Celebrating the month’s new releases the first week of each month.

why?

Because I recently discovered that a book’s success or failure is often determined by first month sales! (Though I bet preorders play into that as well.) Publishing houses look at those stats to determine whether they’ll add on to a series or accept the author’s next manuscript! All that literary goodness hanging in the balance but for a month’s worth of sales! (This was a cozy mystery author, but I imagine all traditional publishers use the same ‘system’.) So I thought I should do my wee little bit to promote Christian Fiction.

By hosting a special ‘Hello – insert month’ giveaway. It’s easy to play along. You just have to choose ONE of the October 2025 new releases on your TBR wishlist (must be Christian Fiction) and mention the title in a comment below (or email me at kavluvstoreadATyahooDOTca) If your name is drawn, that October release is the book you will win and we’re one book closer to keeping our fave authors in business.

  3. Is it truly October already?! The temps are still in the upper 80’s Fahrenheit, with no signs of dropping in the next couple weeks! I’d love to win Love in the Castle Library by Ann Swindell.

    1. It’s been warmer here for us too though, thankfully, the nights are always cool. I’m way behind in my fall gardening chores because everything is still in bloom or producing veggies! Hopefully we won’t suddenly switch to snow and ice so I have time to put my garden to bed properly. Good luck, Karen!

    1. I’d love to get Joanne Bischoff Dewitt’s book The Heart of Bennet Hollow. I’ve read a few of her books and especially loved the Cadence of Grace series.

      1. I haven’t read any of the Cadence of Grace series. My faves of her are the Blackbird Mountain series and The Lady and the Lionheart. I still have catching up to do with her books. Good luck, Becky!

    3. Hello October! And Kav! I typically put pumpkins & mums on my front porch, but guessing it’ll be closer to Thanksgiving. My geraniums are still happily blooming there. Still in the 80s, which definitely beats those 90° temps!

      I adore Joanne Bischof DeWitt’s novels so my choice is The Heart of Bennet Hollow.

    10. Love that it’s finally cooling down enough here in the south to wear my blue jeans again! Still 75-80 but the humidity is gone.

    16. I have no idea how it is already October. The last quarter of the year. Sigh. I am not sure I am ready, LOL! But, ready or not, here we go. I think if chosen, I would like Snowbound Threat by Lisa Phillips, Mary Alford, and Jessica Ashley. It is set to release 10/24.

    27. Hello October! I really can’t believe October is already here. We are in the high 70s and 80s this week. I have to say I am really enjoying these extended warm temperatures here in Michigan! I had major foot surgery at the beginning of summer and wasn’t able to get out and enjoy the weather. This is pure joy for me as Summer is my favorite season. For October new releases I’m going to go with:
