May New Releases Giveaway!

It’s a new Best Reads blog tradition! Celebrating the month’s new releases the first week of each month.

Because I recently discovered that a book’s success or failure is often determined by first month sales! (Though I bet preorders play into that as well.) Publishing houses look at those stats to determine whether they’ll add on to a series or accept the author’s next manuscript! All that literary goodness hanging in the balance but for a month’s worth of sales! (This was a cozy mystery author, but I imagine all traditional publishers use the same ‘system’.) So, I thought I should do my wee little bit to promote Christian Fiction.

By hosting a special “Hello — insert month” giveaway. It’s easy to play along. You just have to choose one of the May 2023 new releases on your TBR wishlist (must be Christian Fiction) and mention the title in a comment below (or email me at kavluvstoread AT yahoo DOT ca.) If your name is drawn, that May release is the book you will win and we’re one book count closer to keeping our fave authors in business.

GIVEAWAY OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE TO:

ebook for anyone anywhere who has an Amazon.com kindle account

US – paperback or ebook copy — winner’s choice

Canada -paperback or ebook (in form of an Amazon gift card) or audible.ca audio book (if available) – winner’s choice

      1. Thanks, Kav 🙂 yeah, he actually has several children’s series at this point. (Some of these are written with his daughters!) From what I can tell, they’re self-published, so they are mostly promoted through his website/social media

    1. It’s a good book to be twinning over! We had warmed up but we’ve cooled back down again. Sigh. May 1 and my heat just kicked on and I have it way down low. It’s super rainy too so a good day to stay inside and read! Good luck, Diane!

      1. We had rain over the weekend & it cooled things off quite a bit. I also turned the heat on this morning. We just planted flowers over the weekend, which we usually do on Good Friday. This spring the weather’s so crazy! Hope you’ll be out there gardening sooner than later!!

    1. I went into the library this afternoon and when I came out there was white stuff clinging to the grass — I don’t know if it was snow or the remnants of hail, I’m just glad that I was inside when It happened! Good luck, Cindy!

  13. I’m looking forward to The Secret of Happiness by Suzanne Woods Fisher. Book one was fun as she talks about ice cream. I enjoyed how Suzanne has incorporated her husband and daughters passion (ice cream making) into a series. I had no idea so much went into making Ice Cream. Thanks for this fun May Book Party!
