  1. Good morning, book buddies! This one isn’t labeled mystery/suspense but it’s in the description:

    1) The Dogwood Gospel by Cindy Morgan (Nov 3)

    1. Ohhh, a new Fog Lake book. I loved the original series but haven’t gotten to the homecoming one yet…much too hard to keep up with Christy Barritt! And it looks like The Dogwood Gospel can do double duty in the genre department. It does look really good. Re. Coordinates of Death — I’ve read it (gasp!) and it was creepy, but not over the top…tamer than Jessica Patch and Nancy Mehl, I think. Lots of stuff that goes unsaid but contributes to the atmospheric air of the story. Shudder. Good luck, Diane!

      1. I have Christy’s new Fog Lake #1 on my Kindle. Can’t remember the title but it looks & sounds good! Good news about Darlene’s. I enjoyed her 1st book in the series. Also good news about Nancy Mehl’s latest! Not over the top creepy, but more along the lines of Lynette Eason’s or Lynn Shannon’s books. At least not creepy so far. Only about 30% in. I’m so proud of Nancy! This book has more spiritual depth & includes alot of scripture from the Bible to comfort the victim. Good job, Nancy!

      2. Ohhh, Nancy Mehl has one coming out or just out? I tried checking audible, but can’t see anything new though I discovered some of her older books are free for audible subscribers…some of the Mennonite ones. Super excited. I have all the books on my keeper shelf but they/d make a fun re-read…er listen. Anyway, care to share the title of the book you are reading?

      3. Kav, Nancy’s latest is called Fatal Finale which released in Aug ’26. I’m a little late to the party on this one bc I’m typically on the launch team but had to bow out this go round bc of health issues. Since I couldn’t promo I told Nancy I’d buy the book & review it after release. Waited for price to drop a bit 1st, though. This is Book 3 & although you don’t need to read the 1st two in the series (she recaps well), it helps to get acquainted with the characters who appear in all 3 books.

  2. Don’t faint in shock at my 2nd choice Kav, but I’m going to try a Lynette Eason book coauthored with Kelly Underwood. I’ve read a few of Kelly’s and I like her stories so I’m going out on a proverbial limb, lol,

    Deadly Charade 10/27

Thanks for the giveaway, today and all week too! (waiting to see what others find for #3)

    1. Bwahahaha! Thanks for the warning, I was able to curb my faint to a swoon. 🙂 Actually Deadly Charade looks good and interestingly enough the audible edition releases Oct 6…21 days ahead of the kindle and paperback. How weird is that? Though you might have just picked my next preorder. I am in awe-filled admiration for the way you can keep up with Susan May Warren! Good luck, Tracey!

      1. It hasn’t been that hard to keep up with SMW. I started reading her books 23 yrs ago before there were many authors at my Christian bookstore. Then when amazon came along, I read a bunch more. Now all I have to do is just track the ones coming out each yr, so easy-peasy. I think I counted 10 I’ve read she wrote this yr. Her total is somewhere around 130, and I’m starting 106 today.

On the other hand, Christy Barritt is twice as prolific and is up to 266 books! They are both amazing, but it appears Christy turns out way more that Susan. I’ve read some of Christy’s earlier books and keep thinking one day I’ll jump back in but there’s just so many new authors to explore, I’ll be reading into eternity…

      2. I like your keeping up with SMW plan. Very organized and intentional. I just throw up my hands and cry, “Nooooo, not another one!” lol I don’t know how Christy Barritt turns out so many books. Or keeps her characters straight from series to series! The good thing about most of her books…the suspense anyway, is that you can jump in anywhere. Each book reads well as a standalone. I think her cozy mysteries would have to be read in order though.

    1. Gasp! I had no idea there was a second Women of Wynton’s mystery out, let alone a third one up and coming. Love the fifties vibes and the unlikely friendships that have formed into a great investigative team of amateur sleuths. 🙂 Good luck, Kimmy!

    1. I’m guessing this will be a continuous plot line series? I think the other one they wrote was like that. I haven’t read them. I was kind of daunted by not getting the whole story right away. Sounds like their series should be read once the last book has been released. Might be wrong about that…though now that my library has their first series I can test my theory out. 🙂 Good luck, Patty!
