It’s a Best Reads blog tradition! Celebrating the month’s new releases the first week of each month.
Because I recently discovered that a book’s success or failure is often determined by first month sales! (Though I bet preorders play into that as well.) Publishing houses look at those stats to determine whether they’ll add on to a series or accept the author’s next manuscript! All that literary goodness hanging in the balance but for a month’s worth of sales! (This was a cozy mystery author, but I imagine all traditional publishers use the same ‘system’.) So I thought I should do my wee little bit to promote Christian Fiction.
By hosting a special ‘Hello – insert month’ giveaway. It’s easy to play along. You just have to choose ONE of the April 2026 new releases on your TBR wishlist (must be Christian Fiction) and mention the title in a comment below (or email me at kavluvstoreadATyahooDOTca) If your name is drawn, that April release is the book you will win and we’re one book closer to keeping our fave authors in business.
GIVEAWAY OPPORTUNITY:
US – paperback or ebook copy — winner’s choice
Canada -paperback or ebook (in form of an Amazon gift card) or audible.ca audio book (if available) – winner’s choice
International – ebook if you have a US Kindle account
Draw will be held and winner announced on Saturday April 4 2026

Haha yes! I have just one more of her already-published books to read and I’ll be “caught up.” I usually don’t prefer marriage of convenience stories, but Joanna kindly responded to my email about content in her book, which assuaged my concerns

Spring is being coy up here — a bit of sun, a bit of warmth and then, whoosh, she whisks it all away and bully Winter takes over again. I have Harbor Pointe on preorder and I cannot wait for its release! One week — eeeeppp! Good luck, Trixi!

In a miracle of miracles, on the first day of spring, one week after the big blizzard that blew through the upper midwest, I found a bare patch of ground with a dandelion blooming. I haven’t seen any since, and we’re scheduled for snow every day the rest of this week, but there is hope that winter will one day end!

How can it be APRIL already? It’s warm in Kentucky today, but rain is on the way. It’s been a while since I’ve read one of her books, but I would love to read The Manhattan Confessions by Jocelyn Green. Historical fiction with a librarian as the main character sounds SO good! Thanks for the chance.

It is 90 F today with our much needed rain pushed out until the morning. That might make working food bank distribution in the morning dicey. I’m still hankering for The life She Forgot by Joanna Davidson Politano. Thank you for the chance!

Hello April! Spring is definitely here, along with tornados! We just came up from the basement for a tornado warning we had in our area. Yikes! That’s one thing I don’t like about spring and warmer weather. The flowers, blooming trees, and green grass…now that I love! 🌸
