Reader’s Choice Giveaway – Spring 2026 Edition – Goal Reviews

Quarterly reading goal reviews have become a Best Reads Blog tradition and I can’t believe we’ve reached the end of the first quarter of 2026 already! Where does the time go, I wonder? Hours spent reading I’m guessing 🙂

I’ll share my progress (or not!) here just for some fun book nerdy stats and, if you’re so inclined, you can share a goal or two in the comments. But no pressure – a goal can be as simple as ‘read a book.’

So, to enter this giveaway, just share anything goal related in the comments. Then, in the same comment, list a book that will help you reach your goal. So it looks like this:

“I want to catch up on some suspense series. Night Prey by Susan Sleeman.”

NOTE: BOOKS MUST BE CHRISTIAN FICTION OR CLOSED DOOR

You can enter up to three times in three separate comments — and you can use the same goal or a different one each time, but a different title for each entry.

Books can be published any time up through to June 2026. Currently published books will be ordered this coming week for winners, otherwise it will be an IOU for a title releasing later.

WINNER’S CHOICE OF PAPERBACK OR EBOOK FOR US AND CANADIAN ENTRIES. EBOOKS ONLY FOR INTERNATIONAL READERS WHO HAVE A US KINDLE ACCOUNT.

See? Easy Peasy. But if you’re still not clear, don’t be shy about asking questions.

Here we go! Time to face up to what’s been working and what hasn’t when it comes to my goals this year.

I’m pretty jazzed about my 26 in 26 list. I’ve read 10 of the books this first quarter! Turns out that I can be motivated by setting specific goals! lol

WINNERS ANNOUNCED ON

Sunday March 29 2026

(You can enter any of the giveaways up until noon EST on Saturday March 28 2026 Winners will be announced the following day.)

  1. The comments part on prior posting froze and wouldn’t allow me to continue typing in it. Odd…..
To keep up with a favorite author – Marrying the Matchmaker by Jody Hedlund.

  2. One goal I had this year was to read more series… so far, I haven’t been doing great with that, lol. Well, at least FULL series. But all my choices for this one will go towards books I am collecting in a series… in hopes of one day reading them. Or books connected to other books I read and loved.

#1 choice: The Liars Treasure by Connie Mann

  3. One of my goals is to read more books that I’m not promoting for authors. I’ll still review them, but sometimes I need to read one solely for pleasure. One of these would be The Duke’s Bargain by Megan Walker releasing May 5.

  5. I set a goal of reading 100 books this year. Goodreads says I am 8 books behind schedule, having read 15 so far. A book that will help meet my goal is The Bird of Bedford Manor by Michelle Griep.

  7. I am keeping up with Karen Witemeyer’s Posse challenge. A book that will meet the May challenge is The Life She Forgot by Joanna Davidson Politano (a book written by an author whose first and last names are in alphabetical order).

  8. My reading is simply slower this year but your stats are impressive!  Goodreads says I need to read 3 more books to be on track for my goal.   I know I haven’t logged one and am reading Birds on a Wire by Katie Powner (oh so good!), so I’m sure I can do it.  I’m making a quilt, so that is part of my distraction.  I’ll cut myself a little slack since this is the first one I’ve ever made for myself.

Soooo….I need to read more indie authors!

#1 The Life She Forgot by Joanna Davidson Politano releasing on 4/21.

#3 The Crown Conspiracy by Connie Mann

Many thanks to Kav for a fun reader’s choice week!  I know this is a tons more work than the regular blog and it is much appreciated.  Just don’t lose your mind with all of the tallying!

    1. Ohhh, quilting! I love that. I’d listen to audio books while I quilted. I’ve dabbled in quilting, made some memory quilts and duvet covers but nothing really intricate. I love looking at quilting books though. Good luck, Perrianne!

    1. I have some lovely reading journals that I fancy up to keep track as I read along so the tallying isn’t too arduous. It’s fun and it’s not like I’m racing out to a job every day. 🙂 Good luck, Stephanie!

  11. One of my newer goals is to read more books by indie authors. I really enjoyed the first book, Dark Water in the Sweet & Sawyer Romantic Suspense series, and would like to continue with book 2, Riptide, which releases in May.

  12. Another goal is always to complete series that I’ve already begun to add to my TBR. The Targeted by Cara Putman is the last in a series I’ve been wanting to read, and the first 2 are already on my shelf, awaiting my attention!

  13. Kav, my first pick is My Beloved by Jan Karon because one of my goals is to read books high on my want-to-read list. If I win, I’ll probably save it until closer to the holiday season 🙂

  14. Another goal is to open myself up to reading new authors. I know who I like to read, and sometimes it’s just hard to add an unknown author to the TBR. However, one title that has caught my attention is The Inklings Detective Agency by John R. Kelly, because I do love a good mystery!

  15. #2 – Goal – catching up on Katie Powner’s backlist – The last one I need to read is A Flicker of Light so put me down for that one, please 🙂

  16. #3 – The Fault Between Us by Stephanie Landsem would fulfill two goals – a new-to-me author and books high on my want-to-read list.

Thanks, Kav, for another great RC week!
