  1. Good morning, Kav! I tried (I really did!), but really couldn’t find any of my favorite suspense authors til summer. So I’ll come back & see what great ideas our book buddies come up with. I’m not a fan of cozies so I’m rather clueless. 🔍🕵

    1) Sapphire Island by Creston Mapes (May 25)

  2. This one says “mystery” in the title description on Amazon sooo…

    2) Chase the Light by Susanne Woods Fisher (May 5)

Thanks for the fun giveaway & for stretching my brain s little, Kav! lol

      1. Interesting…I wonder if genres have an ‘in season’. Summer is suspense, it seems. I’ll have to do a deep dive to see if I can find some. Jaime Jo Wright’s new book would count, the 99 doors one and some of the other dual timelines seem to have a mystery attached, usually with the present day timeline and surely it must be time for another Christy Barrit novel! Bwahahaha! Good luck, Diane!

      2. Kav, I just saw this in my spam mail again. Even Tracey and Stephanie’s reply went to spam yesterday. Sheesh! I’m not familiar with Angela Carlisle’s books, will check ’em out. Thanks! Will this count as a mystery?

        3) The Lost Story of Via Belle by Melanie Dobson

      3. BTW you’re right about Christy! She has one coming out at the end of the month. I need to read book two 1st, tho. I think she and Jaime Jo Wright should get awards for being the fastest writers ever!

  3. Rec: For Jaime Jo Wright fans who are also kindle readers, her first Love Inspired Suspense, Attempted Mountain Murder is coming out on June 30th. (The paperback version comes out a few days later. The release dates for LI’s can be tricky)

I sure wish Pepper Basham’s next Freddie and Grace Mystery, The Bachelor Spy was coming out one day earlier, July 1, ugh! Maybe we can get an admin waiver, lol

    1. You’re right about tricky release dates. We should check to see if any of the July 1 releases come out on June 30 in another format. 🙂 Of course you would have a Susan May Warren book on your wishlist. Honestly, is there ever a RCW that doesn’t have Susan May Warren options? Are you including Attempted Mountain Murder as your third pick? I wasn’t sure if it’s just a recommendation. Good luck, Tracey!

      1. Per Susan May Warren books- she actually had 4 books in the 1st quarter, 4 in the 2nd quarter, 4 scheduled in the third quarter, and as of now I see 1 in the 4th quarter! She is one prolific writer!!!

      2. Four books!!!! Mind you at least one of those is with a co-writer, though to my thinking that would take more time. I can never quite figure out how two people write a story together.

    1. So strange, I can’t find Does Do Not Forget on Amazon or Good Reads but Google tells me it’s scheduled to release in April, so I guess we have to trust AI on that. lol Good luck, Paula!

    1. Ohhhh, you found two new ones, Kay. A Revel published Susan May Warren and Tari Faris suspense — and that’s two SMW books this quarter! And Cara Putman’s legal suspense. I still need to read the first two books in that series. So many books, so little time! Good luck, Kay!

  4. The Bookshop of 99 Doors by Jaime Jo Wright – the cover alone would draw me to this one, even if it weren’t by Jaime Jo Wright! She’s had some stunning covers. I saw the cover art for her fall release, and it’s also gorgeous (a stairwell lit by a stained glass window).

    1. Yes, that 99 doors cover draws me to it as well. There’s a Dublin Doors poster that I got eons ago — all the colour Georgian doors in Dublin that I absolutely loved to pieces (literally) and this cover reminds me of that. Good luck, Rachael!

  5. Over the Edge by Susan May Warren & Tari Feris, April 2026

SMW has so many books out, I have never really gotten into any of her series, but someone else mentioned this one and it sounds good!

    1. Yesssssss to the The Inklings Detective Agency — I’m super stoked about that! Too much of a chicken for Jessica Patch’s new thriller…maybe I’ll get brave and try one of hers thrillers this year. Gulp. Good luck, Kimmy!

  6. There are so many books that sound good coming out in this next quarter!! I am going to go with #1 Spies, Lies and Alibi’s by Natalie Walters. cilydav at hotmail dot com (I saw someone else numbering them and I figured if I did, I would remember all 3, LOL!)
