An Irish Kiss + Giveaway

Aurora Fairall—Rory to her friends—loves her jobs working at the village bookshop and the family castle-turned-boutique hotel, even if she sometimes wonders if this is all God has for her life. She knows she has much to be grateful for—her family, her friends, her faith—but she wonders if the special Fairall legacy that sees its members struck by Cupid’s arrow has passed her by. Until she meets Aidan Quinn—not the actor, but an Australian guest on a genealogical mission to discover his ancestry—and sparks fly.

Aidan never thought his visit to Ireland’s west coast would result in meeting a redheaded firecracker with a bewitching smile and pixie-like laughter. But obviously God knew better. And his quest to find his kin brings him into the warm embrace of this loud and loving family has helped heal his heart and gives hope that his future might be different to what he’d imagined. Until a secret from the past threatens everything he holds dear…

Can these two opposites find a future even though their lives are worlds apart? And just what role does the Fairall legacy have to play in matters of the heart?

My Review:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I can’t resist a good romance set in Ireland and this one is excellent! Miller does a wonderful job bringing the Irish ambience to life in this enemies to more romance with a most unfortunate meet-cute (which means tons of fun!)

Rory and Aiden get off on the wrong foot (mostly Rory’s fault…well, all Rory’s fault actually) but even so she experiences the sizzling zing of family legend that is supposed to signify true love when she first lays eyes on Aiden. If you believed in that sort of thing and if you hadn’t muddled up introductions which Rory had. Her incorrigible sister doesn’t let her wallow in embarrassment though and pretty soon the hotelier and her Australian guest are starting to get along…until secrets from the past have the potential to sever their budding relationship for good.

Eeeeep!!! Such a lovely mix of sweet romance (including toe-curling kisses!) and the rigours of real life stresses, all wrapped up with a significant faith thread. Makes for an outstanding inspirational romance!

  3. AN IRISH KISS sounds like the perfect Irish story any time of the year. I do so love to arm chair travel and Ireland is one of my favs. And meetings that don’t go over well are right up there at the top of my loves. (Yep, reminds me of hubby and me.) Great sounding book (with a thumbs up from Kav), wonderful author and cute cover all have this book one I’m dying to read.

Thank you so much for the chance to win a copy!

  4. Top o’ the morning to ya Kav! Happy St. Paddies day 🍀

This looks like a great book! I have yet to read a book by Carolyn even though I have one or two on my shelf & can borrow every one from the library. I mean to read them, but then hesitate….I don’t know why either!! ‘Cause I know she’s a fantastic author just from positive reviews like yours. Oh, and I met her and her husband Josh a few years ago at a book signing event a couple of hours from where I live. Such a wonderful couple and sweet to boot!

Anyway, all that to say is I really MUST read her books and this one sounds terrific! Funny thing, “Not Exactly Mr. Darcy” was on my Christmas wishlist (still is)! 😂

    1. Ooohhh, Carolyn Miller is such a great storyteller whether she’s writing contemporary or historical! You’ve gotta give one of her books a try…maybe this one! Good luck, Trixi!

  5. I love Carolyn’s historical but shy away from her contemporary. But I did try the Jane Austin inspired one and it was super cute. This one looks equally good.
