Love in the Castle Library + Giveaway

Predictability and efficiency have marked Delphine DuVert’s orderly life as Castle Stewardess in the small European country of Lethersby—until she is tasked by the monarchy to hire a British researcher. My Review:

Not just a five star read but an all the stars in the sky read! And it’s impossible for me to even begin to express how incredible this book is. Immersive and emotional and so, so, sooooooo very swoonable! Jack! Be. Still. My. Heart. Not to mention the incredible inspirational threads that are seamlessly woven throughout the entire story. It’s all…just…bibliophile perfection.

I was so moved by Delphine’s story. Her struggles were so relatable to me and I ached for her. I’d love to do a deep dive into all the emotional triggers but I don’t want to spoil the reading experience for others. This would make an awesome book club read though, for the numerous talking points ‘Love in the Castle Library’ provides. This is not a simple romance by any means, though it is an epic one (I cried at the end.)

I appreciate the strength of the faith content in this novel. There’s no mistaking this Christian Fiction and I love the way characters support one another in their different stages of understanding. Even the secondary characters — oh my, Jack’s father! What an incredible source of steadfast wisdom! So many wonderful takeaways for readers seeking encouragement and comfort.

I listened to the audio edition of ‘Love in the Castle Library’ but there are so many quotable quotes in this book that I’m going to get a print copy as well. Marni Penning did a wonderful job narrating the book and it’s one that I will definitely listen to again, but I need to annotate a paperback too. It’s that good!

  5. I’ve wanted to read Christmas in the Castle Library but never did (because I have something against the word Christmas in book titles – I know… stupid!!), so this one I want to read even more!!   7. This was a wonderful story! Ann Swindell is a talented writer with a special gift. I was just thinking, if she does a third story it would be cool to have a guy on the cover of the set. Happy reading Monday!

      1. No, not that creeper, haha. The last 2 books have come out in Oct so I’m thinking by summer we should hear some rumblings if there’s to be a book 3. Nothing on her own website or White Crown yet.

Let’s give some cover love.  Don’t you just love it!  I can imagine spending many an hour sitting in that room reading and browsing books.  Just the title – LOVE IN THE CASTLE LIBRARY – would have me picking up this book for further examination.  Then I start reading you review – Not just a five-star read but an all the stars in the sky read! – means to me that this is an automatic have to read book.  To me it’s amazing when an author can push all your buttons, weaves their story with a thread of faith, and leave you crying because it was that good.  It’s a sign of an author that I want to explore all their books.  LOVE IN THE CASTLE LIBRARY sounds like a must read all in one sitting and one best have supplies at hand before you even start.  Forewarned and I’ll be read!  Can’t wait to dive into Delphine and Jack’s story.

  17. I loved Christmas in the Castle Library and as I recall, there was still a bit of a mystery left dangling there.  This leaves plenty of room for a second book in the series….or perhaps a third? Your stellar review just seals the deal for me!  I asked the library to order it but with the small publishing house it’s iffy,  but I’m hopeful.

     I did see that she has some non-fiction devotional type books, so I need to check these out.

  18. I read Christmas in the Castle Library a year ago and enjoyed it so much I recommended it to my book club for December. We loved it so much we have scheduled Love in the Castle Library for April. I’m hoping for that same wonderful mix of faith, romance, and a bit of mystery in this second book of the series.

  20. (Not entering. Already own.) BUT I do have a story!!!

    I haven’t shut up about this series and I was not an early reader or on the launch team at all. I’m not even much for royalty stories! They are both in my 5+ stars category (above AND beyond!). So much so that the author and editor both messaged me after book 1. Ann sent me a signed book plate and a few little book swag items as a thank-you.

    I was unable to locate a Canadian seller to pre-order a paperback so Ann sent me one herself. She signed it inside and added a bookmark to the spot where she used my first name for a staff member as another thank-you. She wrote something there as well. (She had told me about my name after I read the Kindle but seeing it was pretty cool!). Stunned doesn’t even describe it. I can’t recommend this series enough. Not only are they well-written and immersive, the faith content is what I wish all CF had.
