    1. Can you believe I haven’t read anything by Robin Patchen yet? I’ve heard of her, of course, but I’ve never dived in. This does look good but it’s the sixth in a series so maybe I should backtrack to the first one? Or are there other books you would recommend? Good luck, Courtney!

      1. I read the fifth book in the series without having reading the previous four and while I’d imagine reading the previous ones would’ve helped a tiny bit, i didn’t feel like I needed to have read the earlier ones. So you couldstart wherever, probably!!!!

    1. Sorry, Kathleen, this one doesn’t fit into the mystery/suspense genre. I’ve checked Amazon, GR, the author and the publisher – none of them has tagged it as mystery or suspense. Feel free to choose another book as a substitute.

      1. All four of the brothers in this series have those bright blue eyes, so I’m guessing they have been AI altered, but really not sure.

    1. FYI – Perilous Obsession is the individual release of a novella from the Cornered collection published in November 2024 — just in case you’ve read that book. Also includes novellas by Lynette Eason and Lynn H Blackburn. I read them all and yes….nothing like a good stalker story. Bwahahaha! Good luck, Diane!

    1. So strange — Justice’s ebook isn’t releasing until May 2nd but the paperback released yesterday. Usually it’s the other way around — and just maybe a week between releases not months! Anyway, since one of the editions fits the spring release criteria it works. Just strange. But it looks great — and Lily Hann is a new-to me author and I do love meeting new authors in novella collections!

I have the first Secrets to Keep novel (Cara Putman) on my TBR. It’s from the library and I keep renewing it – for some reason I’m scared to start reading. I think I’m intimidated by the legal theme but I’ve read her legal suspense books before and have loved them. So silly. This new release will give me incentive to get cracking! Good luck, Kay!

  4. Embers of Truth by Avrie Swan (April). This isn’t marked mystery or suspense but a Pinkerton has to capture a thief with the help of the heroine and there is a villian in disguise, so that sounds rather mysterious to me.

    1. Oohhh, this is a great find! And I wonder how the romance is going to work out?! I haven’t read the first two books in this series yet but I have one on hold at my library. Sounds so good. Love the mix of Amish and mystery. Good luck, Diane!

      1. These were quick reads written in typical Shelley Shepard Gray fashion. The 1st one seemed to center around romance more than suspense & the 2nd was a bit more angsty. I enjoyed them both!
