    1. Love your first choice – something so Gothic-y about an inheritance story and that cover! But I’m kinda scared of your second choice because….love triangle alert! I’ll have to wait and read some reviews before I venture there. 🙂 Good luck, Stephanie!

    1. Eeeeppp — totally on board for a new Jen Turnano! She always makes me laugh. And I have yet to catch up with Gabrielle Meyer’s series and another new book is coming out. Ack! Good luck, Kathryn!

    1. OOoooohhhhm. forgot that Karen Witemeyer has a new Fairy Tale retelling coming out! And if I’m correct, it looks from the Amazon listing that it’s indie published. Pretty sure we talked about that a while back — her continuing the series indenpendtly. So, hopefully a print copy will become available closer to the release date. They seem to always come up later with Indies. Good luck, Tracey!

  2. I’m using my phone so I hope I don’t accidentally piggyback anyone. 😕 Will this dual-timeline work?

    1. Well, two things we all know if you’ve read my comments 1) I’m on my phone bc autocorrect says what it wants to say and 2) the font’s too small for me to see it to correct it myself! 🤣 Sorry, Ann. That’s Gabhart. Sigh . . .

      1. hahaha Us two chickens haven’t even tried ‘The Irish Matchmaker’ yet! ☺️ I feel like Mikey in that old cereal commercial, I’m not gonna try it, you try it. 😆

Cool about Jaime’s book working for all those genres. Love her!!

    1. The Lawyer and the Laundress by Christine Hill Suntz (Tyndale, June) – I think this is a debut author (in any case, definitely new to me!) Apparently the story takes place in early 1800’s Toronto.

  8. There are a significant number of good historical releases, just on the Baker website alone! Appears to be a good quarter, after the slower first quarter of the year. A Lesson in Propriety by Jen Turano, May.

  9. A Wager with the Matchmaker by Jody Hedlund, May. Having a touch of the Irish (well, more than a touch) in my ancestry, I am especially enjoying this series.

  10. The Codebreaker’s Daughter by Amy Lynn Green, June. Just a comment that I also noticed Baker is doing a revised 10th anniversary edition of Lady Maybe by Julie Klassen, releasing in May. Since it is a revised edition of an earlier book, I didn’t think it would fit the category but wanted to mention as many people in the group enjoy her books. Always a fun week! Thanks!

    1. Yes, there are some great historical novels releasing this season. I’m so excited. At first I was worried that we were starting to lose our beloved historicals but clearly that’s not the case! Woohoo! And thanks for the Lady Maybe info – I have only one Julie Klassen book left to read, her latest one, and I’ll have read them all. Good luck, Cc!
