Since I’m finding it difficult to read the print in the Love Inspired lines and I don’t do well with ebooks either, I’m reduced to enjoying my LI and LIS books whenever they appear in audio editions. Unfortunately, that means the number of LI and LIS books I read has dwindled.
I still want to support the authors though, so I have started a Love Inspired and Love Inspired Suspense monthly new releases giveaway. Separate days for each line. I’ll list all the books and synopsis in a post and you can choose which book you would like to win if your name is drawn.
FOR THIS GIVEAWAY: Choose ONE of the *May Love Inspired Suspense books listed below, add the title to a comment (or in an email – kavluvstoreadATyahooDOTca) and if your name is drawn, that’s the book you will win.
*Just to make things complicated, these books have June as their release month but they actually become available in stores and online on May 21 so I’m calling them May releases?!

Shielding the Innocent Target by Terri Reed — A child under his protection…and a hitman in pursuit. After witnessing her boss’s murder, Paige Walsh must trust Deputy US Marshal Lucas Cavendish to bring her to safety. But when a notorious assassin targets her and her son, Lucas’s short-term assignment turns into a dangerous cross-country mission. For Paige to identify her boss’s killer, Lucas must get the family into witness protection. Except the hit man knows their every move…and trusting the wrong person could get them killed.

Searching for Evidence by Carol J. Post — With his K-9 partner’s help, can he save an innocent life? K-9 officer Jared Miles stumbles upon a crime scene on his day off and believes Kassie Ashbaugh is the victim of a random attack. However, as threats on her life continue, he realizes that Kassie is in grave danger. Her father’s abandoned boat suggests foul play, and Jared suspects someone is after Kassie for something her missing father is hiding. Can Jared unravel the mystery before unknown enemies catch her?

Kidnapped in Montana by Sharon Dunn — A case of mistaken identity leads to a lethal wilderness chase. Believing he’s tracked down his missing informant in a gem-smuggling investigation, FBI agent Ryan McCloud unwittingly leads deadly assassins to Catherine Reed’s mountain hideout. As the informant’s identical twin, and already hiding from her abusive ex-husband, Catherine now has two threats to her life. With danger at every turn, can Ryan protect Catherine and find her missing sister…before it’s too late?

Hidden Mountain Secrets by Kerry Johnson — A mysterious death. A secluded mansion. This investigation could be fatal… Antique dealer Brielle Holt uncovers more than just priceless relics when she overhears a secret that puts a target on her back. Caught in the crosshairs of a deadly family feud, Brielle has nowhere safe to hide…until CSI agent Lucas Scott steps in to protect her. With assailants following their every move, Lucas and Brielle must stay one step ahead of someone desperate to hide the truth…and bury them with it.

Chasing Justice by Valerie Hansen — A man falsely accused…can a K-9 Unit dig up the truth? While escorting a prison van transporting her ex-boyfriend who was wrongly convicted of murder, Deputy Selena Smith never expected the van to be violently forced off the road. But when she and Finn Donovan are attacked, Selena and her K-9 partner become his unlikely protectors. With gunmen closing in, they must hunt down the real killer. But will the truth free an innocent man…or make them the next victims?

Amish Witness to Murder by Dana R. Lynn — To identify her father’s killer, she must stay alive. After finding her family’s barn in flames and witnessing her father’s murder, Beth Troyer becomes the killer’s next target. She narrowly escapes death when the murderer turns on her, but now she’s left temporarily blind. She’ll have to rely on former family friend Gideon Bender to keep her safe until her eyesight returns. But with a killer who’ll stop at nothing to find her, staying alive might just be impossible…

I’m not entering here, I’m just curious if Love Inspired still has their historical line as well, or whether they have moved to focusing exclusively on their contemporary and suspense lines? I’ve not really kept up or looked into it myself, but I know they used to do Love Inspired Historical before.

That is a fantastic question. It’s strange because I know that even though they officially stopped the Love Inspired Historical line a few years back, they kept publishing a few new novels every so often — but they were hard to find because you couldn’t search the Harlequin website by the imprint. Not sure if they are still doing that or if there were just a certain number of authors who still had contracts that needed to be finished. And not sure if there have been any new titles in 2024.

If fortunate enough to be selected, I would love the opportunity to read CHASING JUSTICE by Valerie Hansen. Can’t help it, I LOVE the K-9 stories. Unfortunately, this time I had a hard choice between the two. 🙂
Thank you for the chance!

I adore the K-9 series! Hoping this one becomes available on audible. It’s strange because the first two books in the series are on audible and the later ones are too but not the next few months. Good luck, Kay!

Kav, have you tried these things on the Kindle?
– increasing font size, trying the bold setting, changing font style, changing to a coloured background, changing to landscape mode?
I got the Kindle Scribe back in October when there was an amazing deal. I like that it’s bigger and I can even put it in landscape mode with two pages showing as though it was an open book. Plus there are all sorts of other fun things for the Scribe.

I’ve never even seen a kindle but I have issues with reading from a screen so I’m not sure if that would be the same with a Kindle. Last eye doc I went to said some people just don’t do well with the strain from electronics. I’m due for another eye test soon so maybe I’ll ask them again. Glad it works for you! Happy Reading, Tammy!
