April New Releases Giveaway

It’s a Best Reads blog tradition! Celebrating the month’s new releases the first week of each month.

Because I recently discovered that a book’s success or failure is often determined by first month sales! (Though I bet preorders play into that as well.) Publishing houses look at those stats to determine whether they’ll add on to a series or accept the author’s next manuscript! All that literary goodness hanging in the balance but for a month’s worth of sales! (This was a cozy mystery author, but I imagine all traditional publishers use the same ‘system’.) So, I thought I should do my wee little bit to promote Christian Fiction.

By hosting a special “Hello — insert month” giveaway. It’s easy to play along. You just have to choose ONE of the April 2024 new releases on your TBR wishlist (must be Christian Fiction) and mention the title in a comment below (or email me at kavluvstoread AT yahoo DOT ca.) If your name is drawn, that January release is the book you will win and we’re one book count closer to keeping our fave authors in business.

  1. I love the start of a new month and “Hello April” here makes it even better. It’s also my birthday month and the month I take my yearly visit to see my sister, so all the good things!

With all the books last week it’s easy to find one for this month 🙂

    2. Thanks for the birthday wishes Kav and Trixi! I celebrate all month, because why not?

Our birdfeeders are very busy. We have bluebirds, finches and cardinals. I haven’t seen a robin yet though. My truest sign of Spring is the pine pollen, it’s covering everything!

      1. Thanks, Kav! I really do deserve a lifetime achievement award (he doesn’t) bc I’m the perfect wife. April Fools! 😂 BTW if you see a robin, Spring is officially here! So happy for you! I took my 2nd 15 min walk post-surgery since weather is so nice. I did fine except for my heel which I bruised a couple weeks ago. Am icing it now. 🙄 Just UGH!

      1. Lol, Diane! I mentioned the 50 yrs to someone the other day and then thought, “wow, that sounds like what I used to hear “old people” say, haha. Now that’s me, funny how inside we don’t feel old, but the body says “are you kidding me?

      2. Tracey, so true! hahaha I just told my “baby” brother the other day that my mind still feels like I’m 40 and my body says, Ha you wish! Well, they say you’re as young as you feel. I better not go there today either. 😂
