Reader’s Choice Week – Spring Edition – Contemporary Fiction

How does it work?

Easy peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section and if you win, you win the book you suggested.

  • Publication date must be April, May or June 2024
  • Each day is genre specific, so only submit titles from that genre
  • Christian Fiction books only please!
  • You can offer up to three suggestions per genre day BUT they need to be made in 3 separate comments (easier for me to keep track of)
  • No email entries this time round since comments are working on WP

OF SPECIAL NOTE: IF YOU HAVEN’T COMMENTED ON THIS BLOG BEFORE, YOUR FIRST COMMENT WON’T APPEAR UNTIL I APPROVE IT. AFTER THAT YOUR COMMENTS WILL POST AUTOMATICALLY.

  • Entrants must submit their own selections (no piggybacking on someone else’s log in.)
  • It’s helpful to include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments per day. If you choose not to include your email, then it’s up to you to contact me if you are a winner.

Draw will be held and winner announced on

  1. Most of these titles are under contemporary Christian and yet could also be Christian Suspense. It’s hard to pick. Guess I love both mixed together.

  2. i love these Reader’s Choice giveaways! I like to let them fill up with comments for a day or so, because I might have missed an upcoming release. In this case, I did! The Way Back by Heidi Chiavaroli.

    Thank You!

  3. Hidden in the Night by Elizabeth Goddard (the one series I’ve kept up with!). It could be considered suspense, though, so may not qualify?

    1. Yes, Hidden in the Night qualifies since it’s set in a contemporary time period. I’m caught up on this series too, so quite looking forward to this one as well. Good luck, Perrianne!

  4. I tried to post a comment for Cole and Laila Are Just Friends by Bethany Turner, but it didn’t show up and I’m not sure if you got that one, so here it is again, just in case🙃

    1. Funny that comment didn’t show up the first time and it’s a new title to add to our wish lists! Haven’t read anything by Bethany Turner in an age so must keep an eye out for Cole and Laila! Good luck, Elly!

    1. Oooh, I wonder if it’s her debut? I love sunflowers too but haven’t had great success growing them. I’m always thwarted by squirrels! Wonder how a whole field of sunflowers manages to take hold? lol good luck, Melmo!

  5. The Way Back by Heidi Chiavaroli. I thought I had looked at the categories and this was historical, but I suppose it would be dual timeline. Am looking more around various book websites and also note this was suggested by several on the blog. I just finished my first book of hers and found it really kept me turning the pages! Taking a break from cooking! Hope all have a good Easter. Thanks!

    1. Yes and Heidi does a dual timeline really well. Funny, because Amazon has it tagged as Historical Fiction only but the description talks mostly about the contemporary timeline. Nothing like confusing us readers! Hope you have a glorious Easter weekend, CC.
