It’s a Best Reads blog tradition! Celebrating the month’s new releases the first week of each month.
Because I recently discovered that a book’s success or failure is often determined by first month sales! (Though I bet preorders play into that as well.) Publishing houses look at those stats to determine whether they’ll add on to a series or accept the author’s next manuscript! All that literary goodness hanging in the balance but for a month’s worth of sales! (This was a cozy mystery author, but I imagine all traditional publishers use the same ‘system’.) So, I thought I should do my wee little bit to promote Christian Fiction.
By hosting a special “Hello — insert month” giveaway. It’s easy to play along. You just have to choose ONE of the March 2024 new releases on your TBR wishlist (must be Christian Fiction) and mention the title in a comment below (or email me at kavluvstoread AT yahoo DOT ca.) If your name is drawn, that January release is the book you will win and we’re one book count closer to keeping our fave authors in business.
GIVEAWAY OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE TO:
ebook for anyone anywhere who has an Amazon.com kindle account
US – paperback or ebook copy — winner’s choice
Canada -paperback or ebook (in form of an Amazon gift card) or audible.ca audio book (if available) – winner’s choice
Draw will be held and winner announced on Saturday March 2 2024.

She is one of my favorite authors. The Saint Squad Series is awesome. But her books all kinda tie in together. I forgot to leave my email.

WOOHOO! Hello March! Hello Kav! Some good books coming out in March, but the one I’ve chosen is by a new-to-me author I don’t hear much about. The cover is rather nondescript in my humble opinion (so much could’ve been done with it!), but when I saw the beguiling, exciting trailer with the lovely redheaded heroine & the handsome hero, I was hooked!
To Speak His Name by Tara Johnson (Mar 5)

Well, you just sent me down an internet rabbit hole! How did I not know that Irish were absconded from their land (and country) and transported to the Caribbean to work on English owned plantations?! I agree with you on the lack lustre cover of this book but the story sounds cracking! Good luck, Diane. Oh — and I’ve read three of Tara Johnson’s books, but the last one was in 2021 so I guess it’s time to revisit her.

Wow, I best get acquainted with this author if you’ve already read 3 of her books! I totally get ya, Kav! I just love a book that sends me to Google (lol) to do research & teaches me new things . . . as long as the history’s not TOO deep. I learned so much about the terrible plight of the Acadians in Laura Frantz’s, The Seamstress of Acadie. I was like, how did I not know about this before now?!! Neat to learn new things even at my ancient age of blank blank. 😉

Hello March!
My husband just sent me a text saying he was headed out to run an errand, and that he just might gas up the truck and head to Florida! It cold and rainy here today and Florida sound good right about now.
I will choose Just for the Summer by Melody Carlson, 3/19/24
