  1. Happy week after Christmas! I love the slower pace yet still visiting with family.
I’m going to follow my usual pattern and go with choices from other days.

Thanks for all the bookish fun Kav, and the opportunity to plump up

    1. Happy Boxing Day week, Tracey. We have a national holiday — Boxing Day on December 26 — a carryover from our British roots and since a lot of the industry in my town is government related or high tech a lot of companies give the employees the week between Christmas and New Years off so it’s quite the case of a slower paced ‘let the celebrations continue’ atmosphere…even if it’s raining! I feel sorry for the kids who go toboggans or skis or snowboards for Christmas! Good luck, Tracey!

  3. Good morning, Kav! I hope you’re feeling better & able to celebrate Christmas soon. I still can’t eat much of anything. At least I can’t say I gained weight over the holidays this time.

    1. Good morning, Diane. Sorry you’re still under the weather – I think the rainy warm weather is messing with me too so who knows what’s flu and what’s normal-for-me stuff?! Good luck, Diane!

  6. I can’t believe another Readers Choice week has gone by already! It seems time slips on so fast anymore. Here’s my selections:

    1. A Season of Harvest by Laura one Snelling (January)

I haven’t read a book by her for a long time!

  7. And lastly, a book outside my norm but sounds good… and a new-to-me author (it may even be her debut??):

  8. Rather interesting that Boxing Day becomes Boxing Week, so to speak, based on circumstances of regional corporate holiday schedules. Have always heard about the day from reading about England. Sounds a good common-sense practice.
