Reader’s Choice Giveaway – Christmas Edition – Historical Fiction

Historical Romance / Fiction — a full length story or novella or collection of novellas set in any time period before 1980. May cross genres such as YA, Suspense, Amish etc and may include dual timelines.

How does it work?

Easy peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section and if you win, you win the book you suggested.

BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!

  • Publication date must be January, February or March 2024
  • Each day is genre specific, so only submit titles from that genre
  • Christian Fiction books only please!
  • You can offer up to three suggestions per genre day BUT they need to be made in 3 separate comments (easier for me to keep track of.)
  • No email entries this time round since comments are working on WP

OF SPECIAL NOTE: IF YOU HAVEN’T COMMENTED ON THIS BLOG BEFORE, YOUR FIRST COMMENT WON’T APPEAR UNTIL I APPROVE IT. AFTER THAT YOUR COMMENTS WILL POST AUTOMATICALLY.

  • Entrants must submit their own selections (no piggybacking on someone else’s log in.)
  • It’s helpful to include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments per day. If you choose not to include your email, then it’s up to you to contact me if you are a winner.

Draw will be held and winner announced on

Saturday December 30 , 2023

(You can enter any of the giveaways up until noon on December 30. Winners will be announced later that afternoon.)

  1. There are a number of good historical releases during the first quarter. Looked no further than the Baker homepage for a variety of choices, which it seems are very popular. This will be fun – with the suggestions spread over two weeks during the holidays.

The Foxhole Victory Tour, Amy Lynn Green.

  2. Embers in the London Sky by Sarah Sundin. Are you planning Christmas goodie cooking later this week? I am doing some cookies but nothing more complicated! Thanks!

    1. I love Sarah Sundin!!! So looking forward to this one. And yes, getting into cookie mode this week. There are always the standard favourites but this year I’m going to give some frozen cookie dough as well so people can have warm out of the oven cookies whenever they want in the New Year, so that will make my work load a little lighter. Good luck, CC!

    1. Laura Frantz has consistently released a new book early in the New Year since her first release, hasn’t she? Like Julie Klassen’s are always towards the end of the year. A lovely way for a reader to mark the passing of time. 🙂 Good luck, Patty!

  6. This one seems to be right on the edge of the criteria, but also appears to be a dual time line so hopefully it still fits for historical fiction.lol

    1. Yes, The Berlin Letters definitely fits for this giveaway. Odd to think that the 1980s is now considered historical but….According to the Library of Congress anything dated 50 years ago or older is officially considered Historical Fiction. Good luck, Lea!
