June New Releases Giveaway!

It’s a new Best Reads blog tradition! Celebrating the month’s new releases the first week of each month.

Because I recently discovered that a book’s success or failure is often determined by first month sales! (Though I bet preorders play into that as well.) Publishing houses look at those stats to determine whether they’ll add on to a series or accept the author’s next manuscript! All that literary goodness hanging in the balance but for a month’s worth of sales! (This was a cozy mystery author, but I imagine all traditional publishers use the same ‘system’.) So, I thought I should do my wee little bit to promote Christian Fiction.

By hosting a special “Hello — insert month” giveaway. It’s easy to play along. You just have to choose one of the June 2023 new releases on your TBR wishlist (must be Christian Fiction) and mention the title in a comment below (or email me at kavluvstoread AT yahoo DOT ca.) If your name is drawn, that June release is the book you will win and we’re one book count closer to keeping our fave authors in business.

GIVEAWAY OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE TO:

US – paperback or ebook copy — winner’s choice

Canada -paperback or ebook (in form of an Amazon gift card) or audible.ca audio book (if available) – winner’s choice

  1. I can’t believe I’m still up. I accidentally fell asleep from 6pm-8pm (was so tired from STILL cleaning up after bthrm renos & painting trim in kitchen) and now I don’t want to go to bed. Ugh! I need to make myself or I’ll be tired all day. 😴
Anyway, what a fun category! How about…

      1. That’s why I can’t do audiobooks during the day or eve. They put me to sleep or I get distracted. I do enjoy listening to my Kindle when I’m cooking or flat ironing hair, tho! 😃
P.S. Did you hafta ok this comment?…bc I had to sign in again. 🤔

  2. Oh, my, there are so many to choose from! I just saw a new dual-time book by Katherine Reay. A Shadow in Moscow releases June 13, 2023. Thanks for this chance.

  3. How are we supposed to pick just one, LOL! At a glance I have at least four for this month, LOL. My choice would be The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley by Courtney Walsh. Thanks for the opportunity and for highlighting new releases (I imagine our TBRs will be growing!).

  5. How about The Courteous Cad by Catherine Palmer, 6/20/23? I was looking on the Tyndale website and note that hasn’t been mentioned yet.

    1. I was just looking on Goodreads and discovered that maybe this is a re-issue, as I found reviews back from 2009. So, let’s delete that and I will just go with The Laws of Attraction by Mary Connealy, already mentioned.

      1. Interesting that it’s a re-issue — maybe because of the popularity of Regency Romance nowadays? Oooh, I just checked my library and they actually have a copy of The Courteous Cad. I put it on hold — stay tuned and I’ll let you know what I think! Good luck, CC!

  6. I agree with what others have already mentioned, so many books coming! I have or already ordered Indigo Isle, Ned, and Wedding at Sea.

I think my next choice is The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley by Courtney Walsh. I love all of Courtney’s books.

  7. I’ve been out of the loop this week having been out of town a few days, but I do love coming home to June new release day!
I’m looking forward to Ned by Susan May Warren so throw me in for that 🙂

They’re some wonderful books releasing this month. By way of recommendation, I’ve read The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley for review and it’s fabulous. It unlike any other Courtney Walsh book I’ve read, I laughed my way through the entire thing!
I also read Karen Witemeyer’s Fairest of Heart and loved it too!

Summer reading will be off to a great start!

    1. Oooh, a mad traveller. Hope you brought a good book with you! I haven’t started that series yet. My library is actually getting them in — the first two anyway — and I’m on the waiting list.

Love that you endorse Isadora and Fairest of Heart! I’ll be waiting for Isadora to come out on audible but I’m primed for a listening spree on June 6th for Fairest. Good luck, Tracey!

  9. I’m choosing Indigo Isle by T.I. Lowe! I love the saturated blue color on the cover. Of course she’s always good for an awesome story! This new idea of first of the month releases is a great idea.

  11. Kav, gotta say it again — I love this new tradition of yours! 🙂 Throw my name in the hat for Indigo Isle by T.I. Lowe, please. Sounds like a great read and I’ve never read one by this author yet. I need to fix that! 🙂

  12. I’m going for “Ned” by Susan May Warren. This series looks so good and I haven’t even read one of them. This one is 3rd novel in this series.
