  2. I’m thrilled to win The Peasant King! I know it will be fantastic, everything Tessa does is awesome. You really should give her a try!
I held off for years reading biblical fiction thinking it would mess with my memory of the scriptures, but that was the furthest thing from the truth. If anything, it enhances my understanding of the time period and customs of the day. This book is second in the series so if you decide to read Tessa, you may want to start with the first book, The Hidden Prince 5+ stars!
Congratulations to all the book winners and happy reading! 🙂

    1. Okay — you convinced me. I’ll get brave. My library has The Hidden Prince so I put a hold on it. And Audible Plus (which means free to members has) Bread of Angels, Land of Silence, Daughter of Rome and Until the Mountains Fall…so no excuse for me to delve in somewhere!

      1. I’m excited for you to read Tessa’s books!
I would read The Hidden Prince first so you’ll be ready for The Peasant King in Nov.

If you then backtrack her books I would look for The Thief of Corinth next before Daughter of Rome and then Jewel of the Nile, all 3 “can” be standalones but there are recurring characters that will make you enjoy them more in that order.

Land of Silence is an amazing story (check out my Goodreads review)
In the Field of Grace was my first book (Ruth retelling) and the one that hooked me.
Harvest of Gold, then Harvest of Rubies go together, fantastic!
Oh just plan to read them all!!! Lol!
FYI-Until the Mountains Fall is Connilyn Cossette’s book and 3rd in series. I wouldn’t read that without reading the other 2 first.

      2. Okay, taking notes here. My library has The Thief of Corinth so put that one on hold too. I went to check out your Good Reads review for Land of Silence and discovered that I read that book earlier this year!!! Funny, don’t recognize the cover at all. And you’re right, it’s an amazing story…so why have I been so hesitant about reading more of her books? — And woohoo — I actually have read the first two City of Refuge books by Connilyn Cossette so I’m all set for Until the Mountains Fall…so what am I waiting for? I have no idea!
