To stop a killer, the truth must be uncovered.
Stunned by the revelation he has a three-year-old son whose mother was murdered, rancher Eric Montgomery is searching for the truth. But he quickly realizes he has a target on his back when he and his boy are attacked outside private investigator Cassie Anderson’s office. With Cassie’s help and expertise, Eric must untangle a web of secrets to figure out why…before he becomes the next victim.
My Review:
I didn’t intend to read this book in one sitting, but, once I started, I couldn’t stop. Rife with tension from the very first page, Big Sky Secrets has the kind of impeccable pacing that makes it impossible to look away from the page. The suspense seeps over into the romance and makes everything that much more enthralling.
So, a bit of a reunion romance trope in that Eric and Cassie were on the cusp of starting a relationship born out of friendship. One fateful kiss and things went catawampus — you know how that goes. 🙂 But now they are brought together under the most stressful of circumstances and the past has to stay in the past as they learn to trust and rely on each other so they can get to the truth…and protect Eric’s young (and surprise) son! Lots of romantical pressure to add additional strain to the situation.
And, oh, mercy — the plot twists!!! Gobsmacked. Gasping out loud. Whiplash inducing. All kinds of thrilling page-turning goodness.

You just have to love those can’t put down books. How else can you get rest for your body all while giving it a mental workout. Sort of the best of two worlds if you ask me.
Love the cover! Oh the stories that old church could tell. 🙂 And I still get my mountains in the background.
“Big Sky Secrets” sounds amazing and I would love the opportunity to double tasking with a read all in one sitting read.
Thank you for the chance to win a copy!

Yes! I loved this book too! As you say, perfect pacing! Did you figure the mystery out? I love when an LIS is so good you kinda know but aren’t sure until near the end. Amity Steffen is so good, I went straight to the Love Inspired site and found when her next book comes out, Missing in Montana next February with brother Seth Montgomery getting his own story. I think this is going to be a Montgomery series and I’m all in! 📚💓

I had some of it figured out, but then, U-turn! An excellent romantic suspense. And — eeeeepppp — you’ve made my day! I was hoping the Montgomerys would be back! Kinda frustrating when a series isn’t clearly labeled with LIS. I don’t know why they don’t do that. Seems like only the big name authors get to have a series title and it listed on the cover.Montana sounds like the perfect place to armchair visit in February — brrrrr. Thanks for the insider’s scoop, Tracey!

It may not have been a series then, but when I looked at the summary there Seth M. was. I’ve seen a few other authors have continuing characters without it being label a “series” (like Lisa Carter’s LI’s, her A Country Christmas coming in Nov. is back in Truelove, NC so we’ll see so old characters) but I’m with you, why not make it easier on the readers?
