Reader’s Choice – Mystery/Suspense

So, here’s how this week’s giveaways works: You recommend CHRISTIAN FICTION genre specific titles with release dates in April, May or June 2023 (up to three suggestions per genre day) and you have a chance to win one of your recommendations! BUT it’s a little more complicated than that so be sure to read ALL the details before entering.

IT’S MYSTERY/SUSPENSE GIVEAWAY DAY!

To be entered in the draw just leave a comment (or 3) below, including the title(s) of the book(s) in the Mystery / Suspense Fiction genre you would like to win.

Mystery/Suspense Fiction — a full length story or novella or collection of novellas where mystery is an important part of the plot. The hero or heroine (or both) are often in peril (more so in suspense.) Can be set in any time period — contemporary or historical — and cross genres such as YA, Amish, dual timeline etc.

How does it work?

Easy peasy! Make recommendations in the comment section and if you win, you win the book you suggested.

BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES!

Publication date must be April, May or June 2023

Each day is genre specific, so only submit titles from that genre

Christian Fiction books only please!

You can offer up to three suggestions per genre day BUT they need to be made in 3 separate comments (easier for me to keep track of.)

No email entries this time round since comments are working on WP

OF SPECIAL NOTE: IF YOU HAVEN’T COMMENTED ON THIS BLOG BEFORE, YOUR FIRST COMMENT WON’T APPEAR UNTIL I APPROVE IT. AFTER THAT YOUR COMMENTS WILL POST AUTOMATICALLY.

Entrants must submit their own selections (no piggybacking on someone else’s log in.)

Open to International Readers (I’m all about sharing the love of Christian Fiction far and wide!)

It’s helpful to include your email (using AT and DOT instead of @ and . to protect yourself from spammers) but you only need to add it to one of your comments per day. If you choose not to include your email, then it’s up to you to contact me if you are a winner.

Draw will be held and winner announced on Saturday April 1

(You can enter any of the giveaways up until noon on April 1. Winners will be announced later that afternoon.)

  1. I’m stuck bc it seems most of the suspense authors I enjoy release in mid-summer. I’ll have to see other readers picks to finish choices 3 and 4. I’m sure I’m missing something! lol I can do serial killers (if not super graphic), but I don’t care for bombs, terrorists attacks, spies, & political intrigue. Too much of that on the news!

    1) Counter Attack by Patricia Bradley (May 16)

    1. OOPS I thought I was commenting on the Historical Page. Sorry! Heading over there now. But I’ll leave a comment here I’ve really enjoyed the Snap Agency series by Natalie Walters. Blind Trust is the last one in the series

    2. You know, there’s an element of mystery in this one as someone is trying to kill the heroine and she has a mysterious past, so I’ll count if for this category. Good luck, Nora!

      1. Me neither, Kav. I gave up trying. SMW pops them out so quickly just like Christy Barritt! So instead of reading them in order I read them according to description & if one sounds particularly good I’ll read it!

      2. That’s a good idea, Diane. Though sometimes I find the books in her series mesh together so much they kinda have to be read in order. Like that last Alaska series. Christy Barritt is better at writing series where the books can standalone as well…I think, anyway.

      3. Yes, the Alaskan series is better read consecutively, but am wondering if they could be read as standalones. I haven’t read the last one yet so am not sure. Usually the author does a good job of recapping so you know who everyone is, but in this type of series you still feel like you’re missing something!

      4. Yes, I think it’s because of the complicated family dynamics and the restoration that goes on through the whole series. You’d miss a lot of the depth if you jumped in the middle of the series.

  2. The release date for Montana Marshalls book three hasn’t been given yet, but they have been releasing every 2 months, so that would put Ned coming out in June.

Warren hasn’t been giving the next book date until the current release hits, so soon after 4/4 when Jonas releases we’ll have the exact June date. This is kind of like Beth Vogt’s early summer release, you know it’s coming but info is limited.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it, lol.

    1. Oops, I meant to say Minnesota Marshalls, Montana was the last series. Like you said above, Warren has so many series going it’s hard to keep them straight. While looking through her list of books for Ned’s release date I counted 80 books I’ve read by her, and I still haven’t read them all! I can’t imagine how she keeps all her interlocking story worlds straight!!!

      1. On 2nd thought aren’t you an ex-librarian? Or did I dream that bc you’re always in the library? lol That was a pretty wicked bwahahahaha. I may have to recant my statement about the genteel librarian tamping things down. 😂

      2. Yep — ex-librarian…well, really, you can take the librarian out of the library but she’ll just build up another library wherever she is. There’s no tamping down a librarian’s passion for books. Bwahahahaha!

      1. This is the fourth in the “Gone to the Dogs” series….two by Janice Thompson and two by Kathleen Y’Barbo. I haven’t read any of them yet, but I’ve heard some great things!
